The overview of the Serbian Construction Industry Sector covered by the European Regulation (EU) 305/2011 and its expected impact on the industry
Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) hosted a panel discussion and presentation of the study entitled: " The overview of the Serbian Construction Industry Sector covered by the European Regulation (EU) 305/2011 and its expected impact on the industry", prepared and published in cooperation with the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (UNMZ).
Panelists with expertise in areas assessed as crucial for the implementation of the Construction Products Regulation, namely: Dejana Milinkovic, Director of The Association of the Cement Industry of Serbia – “CIS”and Study author, Tatjana Bojanic, Director of ISS, Ivana Vuletic, secretary of the Association for the Construction Industry at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and Biljana Ilic, manager of Certification Body at the IMS Institute, and the discussion that followed the presentation of the results of the research have caused great attention of more than 40 participants of this panel.
Raising awareness, building capacity for conducting assessment of construction products, training and education, translating standards into Serbian, and comprehensive support for micro and small businesses in the implementation of harmonized European standards, were conclusions agreed by both panelists and public and private sector representatives.
